Sarah and I have been best friends for over 14 years. We met a long time ago in a swimming class at Union. I don’t think either of us could touch the bottom of the pool in the shallow end! Sarah continued to take swimming lessons and eventually became a great swimmer for Union! I didn’t continue. But God had a plan to bring us back together!
In 6th grade, I sat next to Sarah in band class. We both played the clarinet! Both of us agreed the other person looked familiar, but we couldn’t figure out how we knew each other. One day, we realized we both went to the Church of Saint Benedict! What a small world!
From there, we became best friends. We had every single class together in 7th grade. We joined youth choir together, and track…even though neither of us were very good. We wrote musicals, had the same favorite number, and even had the exact same time in the 100 meter dash…in different heats! At youth choir we were referred to as “The Twins”. We were inseparable! Although the years flew by and we went our separate ways for college, nothing could take away our friendship! I was thrilled when Sarah asked for me to shoot her college undergrad portraits a few years ago! Since then, she has graduated with a Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma and works as a Resident Director at Loyola University in Chicago. Here are some of my favorites from her session. I LOVE YOU TWINSIE!
